What We Believe
We Believe the Bible to be the infallible, inspired, true Word of God. (There have been mistranslations of the Bible, and where the English translations disagree with the original languages, we accept what is in the original Hebrew, Aramaic and Greek.)
We accept the Holy Scriptures as the revealed will of God, the all-sufficient rule of faith and practice.
We believe in one God, Jesus Christ, who is the Creator of all things and the Savior of humanity. We accept the Bible standard of full salvation as found in Acts 2:38, and as outlined below. We believe in personal holiness of heart and life, and separation from the things of the world. We believe in divine healing, as well as the operation of the nine gifts of the Spirit within the church (I Corinthians 12). We pledge ourselves to intensive personal evangelism both at home and abroad with the goal of reaching the lost for Jesus Christ. We believe in the soon coming of Jesus to claim His church.
Plan of Salvation: Acts 2:37-39
37 Now having heard this, they were pierced in the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, `Men and Brethren, what should we do?'
38 And Peter said to them, `Repent, and let each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ into the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
39 For the promise is to you, and to your children, and to all who are afar off, as many as the Lord our God might call to himself.'
Repentance: (To turn away from sin) The very first step in God's Plan of Salvation is to recognize that we are sinners. We have all sinned and come short of the glory of God. Jesus said, "I tell you Nay: but except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish." Luke13:3.
When we repent, we also ask the Lord to forgive us and the Word declares that He is willing, and faithful to forgive.
The scripture says that Godly sorrow worketh repentance. (2 Cor. 7:10)
Baptism: The Bible states, "He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved". Mark 16:16
It is very important to understand that we need to be baptized in the Name of Jesus, by full immersion. Our word "baptize" comes from the Greek word baptizo, which means to dip, plunge, immerse or overwhelm with fluid. Only by immersion can we be identified with Christ in burial. (Romans 6:4, Colossians 2:12) In every instance throughout the book of Acts the converts were baptized in the Name of Jesus. Church history also confirms that all first century Christian baptism was done in Jesus' Name. (See Acts 4:12; Col. 3:17)
Baptism of theHoly Ghost: "...with stammering lips and another tongue" (Isaiah 28:11) We believe in the infilling with the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in tongues as the Spirit gives the utterance, as described in Acts 2:4.

Oneness of the Godhead: There is only one God: His Name is Jesus. The oneness of God is documented throughout the Scripture. In the Old Testament, God said, "Hear, O Israel: The LORD is our God; the LORD is one." And, "Is there a God beside me? yea, there is no God; I know not any." (Deut. 6:4 and Isaiah 44:8)
This same truth is documented in the New Testament. "There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus." 1 Tim. 2:5
"Thou believest there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble." (James 2:19)
God is a Spirit (John 4:24) and able to reveal Himself in as many manifestations as He chooses.
The term trinity is not found in the Bible. This term was coined by the Roman Catholic Church, and didn't become standard teaching until the Nicean council of 325 AD.
